Our highly qualified psychologists apply their valuable experience to help injured individuals address barriers, both work-related or psycho-social, impacting on their return to work. Through one-on-one sessions, our psychologists adopt a client-centred approach drawing on evidence-based therapeutic strategies for positive return to work outcomes.

The aim of Adjustment to Injury Counselling is helping injured individuals to acknowledge and accept their injury, and arm them with strategies to change their thinking about their injury and cope with their transition back to work. Counselling usually takes place across 6 to 12 sessions, depending on the injured worker’s level of psychological distress relating to their injury. This support counselling is generally provided through the Worker’s Compensation Scheme.
