Matthew Counsel

National Manager Partnerships

Matthew brings strong relationship management experience to his role, developing key partnerships to help organisations realise the financial and commercial potential of a healthy and engaged team through the delivery of health, wellbeing and rehabilitation interventions. 

Since joining Altius Group in 2010 Matthew has also worked as a Rehabilitation Consultant, Principal Consultant, Regional Manager and National Account Manager. His combined clinical and business experience enables Matthew to bring a thorough understanding of both individual and organisational needs to his role. 

Matthew is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a Bachelor of Science from University of Wollongong and Diploma of Leadership and Management from Australian Institute of Management. Prior to joining Altius Group Matthew worked in clinical service delivery for three years. 

From a young age, Matthew has been passionate about working with people with injuries as well as taking on new challenges. Matthew says, “I am fortunate to be able to combine both passions in my role with Altius Group, especially as I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of the growth and expansion in our service capabilities”.
